Offsite division 'will speed up firm's growth'
A construction company has said that its purchase of an
offsite building venture will help to speed up its growth in the UK market,
it has been reported.
The comments were made by Fusion Building Systems (FBS),
which bought offsite operation Framing Solutions from Redrow and Corus,
according to Builder & Engineer (B&E) magazine.
Redrow's spokesman David Arnold said of the sale: "We
are pleased to have completed the disposal of our interest in Framing
Solutions and now look forward to working with Fusion as we ourselves
focus upon our core development activities."
FBS claims to be the largest producer of LGS frame structures
in Ireland, incorporating these systems with pre-insulated external leaf
StIF.
Its new purchase was part of a submission by Redrow to
English Partnership's Design for Manufacture competition, B&E says.
Like FBS's current operation, the new venture produces
framework, such as lightweight steel frames.
