Offsite building success down to innovation
Prefabricated construction company Yorkon has attributed
its recent surge in sales and market share to continued development in
the field.
Innovative technologies introduced by the company include
the use of green materials that do not infringe on product quality, shaped
modules and an improved variety of cladding and glazing options.
Director and general manager of Yorkon David Johnson comments:
"As a business, we have continued to innovate […] We have introduced
new architectural features and design tools to meet the needs of building
end users, contractors and architects."
Mr Johnson also believes modular building has now become
synonymous with making an architectural "statement building".
Current Yorkon projects in the pipeline include the UK's
largest ever modular healthcare build, a £12 million hospital for
the West Hertfordshire NHS Trust.
Yorkon is the UK's leading manufacturer of modular building
and has been in operation for over 25 years.
