Yorkon modular system shows UK increase
One of the UK's leading manufacturers of prefabricated
housing has seen an increase of 50 per cent in demand for its steel-framed
modular building system.
Yorkon released the figures yesterday which also show that
over 75 per cent of the company's revenue is made up of repeat business
from satisfied returning customers, further demonstrating the growing
reputation of offsite building techniques.
Director and general manager of Yorkon David Johnson said:
"Our performance demonstrates that organisations in every sector
are recognising the benefits of offsite construction and that it has gained
acceptance as a mainstream method of building."
Customer satisfaction surveys carried out by the company
indicate that 96 per cent of customers were satisfied with the service,
while 100 per cent said they would use the company again.
Previous research by the company demonstrated that while
only 63 per cent of traditional UK building projects are completed on
time each year, Yorkon projects delivered on time in 2005 hit 100 per
cent.
