A prefabricated building situated outside the Tate Modern has been described as a must-see attraction for offsite construction firms and tourists alike.
The Maison Tropicale, which was designed in 1951, was one of the pioneers of MMC design and should not be missed, according to the Guardian.
"It's an architectural milestone and a gorgeous piece of retro design that's somehow classically French," the newspaper said, adding that "it was way ahead of its time" in terms of being hi-tech and eco-friendly.
A more modern prefabricated house can be seen in Gateshead, where Ikea unveiled its new BokLok product.
Spokesperson for the BokLok project Alan Prole said that its first set of offsite built apartments is nearly complete and that demand has been extremely high so far based on artist impressions alone.
St James Village in Felling is the site where the six units are under construction.
