Crown House crowned M&E specialist of the year
Crown House Technologies, a division of Laing O’Rourke, has succeeded in winning the M&E Specialist of the Year category at the Building Magazine’s Specialist Contractor Awards 2006.
The Ceremony – in association with Construction Skills and supported by ASDA, BAA, Hammerson, Landsecurities, Somerfield and Stanhope – took place on 21 November 2006 at the London Hilton Hotel, Park Lane.
The award was made in recognition of a 4.5MVA electrical distribution centre for the new 450m-long grandstand at Royal Ascot racecourse, which was built and tested in Wolverhampton and then installed on site.
Runners-up for the M&E Specialist of the year Award were Keir for a project which used off-site manufacturing to provide Oxfam with a eco-friendly building, and Mitie.
