Timber frame techniques will be shown off at this year's Ecobuild event, it has been reported.
Wooden panels, which will be manufactured offsite, will feature prominently in ZedFactory's Zero Carbon Home, according the Timber Industry Magazine.
The publication also suggested that timber frame companies could be set to benefit from the exhibition and its promotion of green issues.
Fraser Steele, spokesman for Glenalmond Timber, said of Ecobuild: "This exhibition attracts precisely the right profile of visitors, the most forward-thinking architects, specifiers and contractors in the UK."
He added that its growing success demonstrates that "sustainability is the hottest topic in the construction industry".
Among timber frame companies taking part are Stewart Mine Timber Systems, Arch Timber Structures, Accoya and Kingspan Offsite.
The news of the show, which will take place between February 26th and 28th, follows an announcement by Eleco that offsite products are still in high demand.
BusinessWeekly.co.uk reported that the company was unaffected by the current slump in the housing market.
