According to the UK Timber Frame Association's (UKTFA) statistics
based on returns from its members and government statistics
for housing starts, the market for timber-frame structures
rose 3.3% last year, while the overall market fell 4.4%, taking
the overall proportion of houses built in the UK last year
from timber frames to more than 22%.

NG Bailey has won a £20m contract to provide the mechanical
and electrical fit out of city office development Drapers
Gardens. The firm will supply, install, test and commission
the electrical services, while its off-site arm will supply
prefabricated pods consisting of containment, bus bars, distribution
boards and risers floors.
